good for small dogs

I thought that this product was a reinvention of the old bumble ball, however it is alot smaller. Its perfect for a small dog like 25 lbs or smaller. I have a 35 lb dog and she just picks it up and eats the rubber stubbs. So be cautious when buying this ball! It is a great toy but not for larger dogs.
YELLOW PIECE BROKE IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES

My dog loved the toy but when he put it in his mouth the yellow piece that turns it on & off broke off instantly. I have a german shepard mix who is 1 yrs old, the toy lasted a mere 5 minutes. He still trys to move the toy around so that it starts jumping but without that piece it was useless.
Crazy pet bumble ball

I bought the Bumble ball for our 16 pound dog for Christmas. I have no complaints about how the ball works or the quality of construction. But the dog only looks at it as a curiosity such as a cat looks at a gold fish in a fish bowl. The ball is hard and really has no good way for a small dog grab it. She prefers her stuffed toys and balls.
I am glad I tried it, but the toy is better suited for a larger dog. Seems like a cat may enjoy it more but again the size may be a limitation.

tHIS IS ONE OF MY DOGS FAVORITE TOYS. hE BRINGS IT OVER TO BE TUNRED ON AND TURNS IT OFF WHEN HE’S DONE! IT IS NOISY AND IS NOT A CHEW TOY (YOU HAVE TO WATCH BECUASE THEY CAN POP OFF THE NUBS), BUT HE HAS SO MUCH FUN WITH IT. THE ONES I’VE HAD IN THE PAST CAN USE UP BATTERIES FAIRLY FAST. ALL THAT BEING SAID, I ORDERED 4 TO MAKE SURE MY FOUR LEGGED FRIEND DOESN’T HAVE TO GO WITHOUT!

For some reason, I got one that seemed to work for a couple of seconds, my JRT showed no interest in this, I was looking for something that would move by itself in order that he might chase it around the room. No Such luck here. It went bye bye.

My “kids” (puppies) love this thing but it gets so loud because they bark at it all the time. The Springer carries it around and it is funny to watch her head shake. But they haven’t been able to destroy it so I would say it is a wonderful toy for those dogs that love to “rip and destroy”.

My puppy loves this toy. He will literally chase it until he drops. One problem with the toy is its kinda loud. My Corgi loves it though, I can watch him pounce back and forth all day. This toy is not for timid puppies, also you can just turn it on and leave it. You need to watch other wise it could break something… in theory. But all in all it is a good buy.

I notice that some folks do not explain if they purchased merchandise on line or in the store with they review. I bought this online from above retailer. Unpackaged it – DOES NOT WORK. Not a battery prob. Purely a motor problem. Enough said. DOES NOT WORK. Will not recommend this purchase online.
New information regarding customer service since I was unable to edit the previous stars to 4: I called the company, they understood and immediately sent a working toy. They did not charge a re-shipping which was fair since the first toy did not work. Great customer service.
Not for all dogs

I bought this because my dog loves to chase thrown objects, but gets bored once they hit the ground. I thought that a constantly moving ball like this would be fun for her. Unfortunately, she is not interested in this at all in fact, when the motor is running she gets scared.
I tried getting 4 other of my families dogs to play with this with no luck. Their reactions varied from ignoring it to being afraid. All of these dogs are small 10-15lb dogs, the ball is fairly small, so size should not be the issue, but it does create a fair amount of noise when running.
I am sure if you have a very energetic dog that is not easily frightened this would be great, but for my dogs it is no good.

Bumble balls were originally made for kids, but for some reason they stopped and started making them for dogs. My son loves to chase the bumble ball all over the house. Great toy!

We bought this for our less aggessive chewer – Lakeland Terrier – unfortunately he showed very little interest in it and preferred a $2.00 “head” that squeeked when he bit into it. He liks the new toy smell of cheap rubber toys (although they don’t last long)
We tried to entice him to play with this toy but he barely noticed it. Our Welsh terrier found it a bit more interesting but being an aggressive chewer he immediately captured it and began to chew off the knobs.
It was expensive to just sit in the toy basket.
My mother’s poodle was afraid of it. So we had one with no interest, one afraid and one who simply wanted to chew and destroy. Didn’t work for any of our dogs.

This is another Great toy for pups of all sort. The Bumble is definitely there. My dog would play with this toy for hours, she would hold it in her mouth looking like Kathryn Hepburn in a helicopter ride. I had fun watching, as she would play and chew the knobs off, this would also add the the specter of many colors in her poop, Beware if you do not want this toy to be damaged, She lived.

This is Poey’s 2nd “Bumble Ball”. “I bought it for my “grand-pug” 3 years ago. She wore the 1st one out and it is STILL her favorite toy EVER! This toy makes for one VERY happy Pug!
Fun until he destroyed it

My nine-month-old Australian Shepherd loved this toy so much that right now he’s looking at the spot where I used to keep it and whining. The only problem is he quickly learned how to grab it by the nubs and carry it to a corner, where he methodically began chewing each of the nubs off. He was determined to do this once he discovered he could. We had some fun stuffing it in a paper bag — at least it took him a bit to chew through the bag. We put it under a bowl too, but he lost interest in that. Eventually, he ate off all the nubs (I was careful to watch and remove each one so he didn’t swallow it!) Then he cracked the plastic ball, and we had to say goodbye to this toy. I haven’t decided if I will buy another or not. I’d like to find one in a hard rubber like Kong, etc. which he’s not able to destroy.

I am using this ball for a sign language class for babies. (I start out with WHAT is it? A BALL?) They are adorable to watch as they try to hold it while it shakes. It really gets their attention. BTW, my dog and cats totally ignored it. These were originally for children. Anyway, it’s a great toy for babies.

I have a 3-pound Yorkie who is nuts about balls. He literally howls to play with the crazy ball. The nice thing is that I don’t have to throw it, and it tires him out if I let him play with it long enough. Buy four of them, because even a 3-pound Yorkie can be tough on them.

My 2 1/2 year old ABSOLUTELY LOVES THIS! He plays with it constantly! It is hilarious to watch him put it in boxes and try to hold onto it. We went to a friends house who has dogs and my son took instant liking to it, their dogs didn’t like it so they gave it to us and my son has been playing with it for the past 6 months now. It recently started acting funny and am going to get another one. The best $10 toy I have bought in a long time!!!

This pet toy was a replacement for the child toy version which broke. Can’t seem to find the child version anywhere anymore.
The pet version is built better than the child version. No pets play with mine, so can not provide review of how well it holds up to *Fido*. Half the size of the child version, but that is not an issue.
